The January Student and Teacher of the month are from Rio Rancho Elementary School.
On January 15th the Rio Rancho Rotary Sunrise club awarded security officer Al Casamento our teacher/staff member of the month award. According to the Principal, Sarah Poutsch, Mr Casamento is one of the most giving individuals going above and beyond for all students every day. The student of the month, Logan Barela, is a unique student - always on top of his studies but also very kind and helpful to others. Ms. Poutsch described him as a "one of a kind" student who makes it a joy to teach every day.
